Is it true to size or should I go up/down?

Our cut leans athletic: the tee fits close up top (shoulders, chest) and stays easy at the waist. Prefer a looser fit? Size up. For accuracy, check the Size Guide on the product page — and if you still miss the size, exchanges are free.

 

Will it shrink after washing?

It’s 100% cotton, so the tee may pull in slightly after washing (shrinkage within ~3%). Once you put it on, the fabric naturally relaxes and returns to shape. That’s how real cotton behaves.

 

What about the collar? Will it get wavy (bacon collar)?

No. We use a narrow, reinforced rib that holds its structure. The collar stays clean, sharp, and doesn’t ripple into waves — even after many washes.

 

What if it doesn’t fit? Do you offer returns and exchanges?

Yes — and we keep it simple. You get 30 days to return or exchange your item. Just keep it unworn, unwashed, and with tags. In the US:

• Exchanges are free (one free exchange per item).
• Returns with our prepaid label have an $8 fee (deducted from the refund).
• Or ship with your own carrier and avoid the fee.

In Canada:

• Returns only (no exchanges). Duties/taxes aren’t refundable.

Once your return arrives and is inspected, refunds are issued within 3–5 business days.

 

What if something arrives damaged or defective?

We stand behind our quality. If your item arrives damaged, incorrect, or develops a defect early on, we’ll replace it or refund you — free of charge. Most of the time, we won’t ask you to send it back. If we do need it for inspection, we’ll provide a prepaid label. Just email hello@dorettiblack.com with your order number and a few photos — we’ll take care of it.

 

Do you offer a quality guarantee?

Yes — every tee comes with a 100-Day Quality Guarantee. If within 100 days your tee:

• loses its shape,
• fades unusually fast, or
• develops a manufacturing defect,

we’ll replace it for free.
No forms, no hassle — just send a quick email.

 

How do returns work for bundles/packs?

You can exchange a single tee within a pack (size or color) — the rest of the pack stays untouched. If you return part of a pack, the tees you keep get recalculated at the price tier that matches the new quantity.

Example:
3-Pack at $59/tee ($177 total). Return 1 → the 2 kept tees are recalculated at the single-item price ($69 each = $138). Your refund = $177 − $138 − return shipping fee (if using our label).

 

Are original shipping charges refundable?

Original shipping fees aren’t refundable — standard policy across e-commerce.

 

Where are your tees made?

Our tees are made in Turkey at our own factory. Single-factory production means consistent sizing, fabric quality, and stitching. Every batch is checked by hand.

As with any manufacturing, a rare defect is possible — if that ever happens, we’ll replace or refund the item at no cost.
